Social media’s been abuzz about a supposed planetary lineup on January 25, 2025. People claim all eight planets will form a line and be visible at night. This isn’t accurate. Nobody knows why this date was chosen, but you’ll see several planets in the evening sky throughout January. The planets circle the sun on almost the same level, like beads on a string. From our view on Earth, this makes them look like they’re in a line across the sky – it’s just how we see it. They’re always somewhat in a row! When January 2025 rolls around, you’ll spot four bright planets and two fainter ones in the evening sky. They’ll seem to be in a line, but this is nothing out of the ordinary. For all eight planets to line up is super rare and won’t happen on January 25th
