The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the inductees for the prestigious PCB Hall of Fame Class of 2024, recognizing four legendary cricketers: Inzamam-ul-Haq, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mushtaq Mohammad, and Saeed Anwar.
This year marks an exception, as four cricketers are being inducted compared to the usual two, due to the absence of inductees in 2023.
These players have significantly contributed to Pakistan’s cricketing history. Inzamam, a key member of the 1992 World Cup-winning team, is celebrated for his exceptional batting and leadership. Misbah, who captained Pakistan from 2001 to 2017, led the team to the top of the ICC Test rankings in 2016 and oversaw a historic series win in the West Indies.
Mushtaq, known for his pioneering leadership, guided Pakistan to its first-ever Test win in Australia in 1977 and later coached the team to the 1999 ICC World Cup final. Saeed, a graceful and stylish opening batsman, is remembered for his consistency and adaptability in multiple World Cups.
The PCB Hall of Fame already includes cricketing legends such as Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, Wasim Akram, and Younis Khan. This year’s inductees were selected by a distinguished panel, including Hall of Famers Wasim Akram and Zaheer Abbas, along with experts such as former captains and cricket analysts.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the inductees, emphasizing their outstanding contributions to Pakistan cricket and their global impact on the game. He praised their remarkable achievements and expressed pride in honoring their legacy, which continues to inspire future generations of cricketers.
