A meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Board of Governors (BoG) was held in Lahore on Saturday, chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, according to 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, BoG members expressed their gratitude to Mohsin Naqvi for the rapid reconstruction of Gaddafi Stadium, completed in a remarkable 117 days.
The members congratulated Naqvi and the PCB team on the successful refurbishment of the stadium, now equipped with modern facilities. They praised the effort, saying, “You’ve made the impossible possible, and all the criticism has been silenced.”
The BoG members also noted their surprise at how such an impressive stadium had been built in such a short time through sheer hard work. “We ourselves can’t believe the stadium has been rebuilt,” they said.
In his response, Naqvi thanked the members, emphasizing that the accomplishment was not his alone, but a collective effort by the entire team. “I am grateful to Allah Almighty that our sincere efforts have borne fruit.
I focused on moving forward despite criticism, with the help of Allah,” he said. “My entire team, especially the workers, turned this dream into reality.”
The meeting also ratified several PCB matters and the decisions made in the previous Board of Governors meeting.
