Tickets for the highly anticipated ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 match between arch-rivals Pakistan and India sold out in under an hour after becoming available. Over 140,000 fans queued online for the chance to purchase tickets for the game, which is scheduled to be held at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on February 23.
The rush to secure tickets followed the official sale of passes for the tournament, which includes matches in both Pakistan and Dubai. The Champions Trophy is being played under a hybrid format, with India set to play all their group-stage matches and the first semi-final in the UAE.
Pakistan will host 10 matches, while Dubai will host four, including the crucial Pakistan-India clash. The tournament kicks off on February 19, with the opening match between Pakistan and New Zealand. The final will be held in Lahore on March 9, unless India qualifies, in which case it will be moved to Dubai.
Ticket prices for the Pakistan-India match ranged from AED 500 to AED 12,500, with the total revenue from this match alone reaching AED 45.6 million (Rs 3.4 billion). The Dubai venue, with a capacity of 25,000, saw tickets for all its matches sell out for a total of AED 88.5 million.
Apart from the Pakistan-India match, tickets for the Dubai fixtures started at AED 125. For the Pakistan-hosted matches, physical tickets were sold at 108 locations across 26 cities. Tickets for the final match will be released after the first semi-final.
The tournament, featuring 15 matches, will run from February 19 to March 9, with games taking place in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi in Pakistan, alongside Dubai. The eight teams are divided into two groups: Group A consists of Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia.
